Don't let Australian-made weapons and weapons components enable Israel's genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

Since October 2023, Palestinians in Gaza have faced relentless bombardment, death, and destruction on an unprecedented scale. 
 
Because of Australia’s opaque approval process for arms transfers, we don’t know what weapons are exported, to what country, or for what purpose. The reality is that even if Australian-made weapons and their components are not being used by Israel in Gaza, it is impossible for Australians to know. 

A ceasefire deal has finally been reached between Israel and Hamas, aiming to bring urgently needed relief for the two million Palestinians who have suffered through over two years of horrors. While we welcome this progress, it must not become just another brief pause in Israel’s ongoing genocide. 
 
Until Israel's brutal military occupation and the apartheid regime is ended once and for all, our calls remain; for a comprehensive national arms embargo on Israel, Hamas and other armed groups, as well as transparent national control system for Australian weapons.  
 
Together, our voices have achieved so much—but we must keep the momentum going for justice for Palestinian people.
