No resumption of executions in Guatemala
Legislation before the Guatemalan Congress, which would have allowed the resumption of executions, will not not become law. This means there is no longer any immediate danger of executions being resumed.
Execution stopped
The man known to the Pakistani authorities as Manjit Singh, but whose family claims is Sarabjit Singh and the victim of mistaken identity, has had his execution stayed indefinitely.

The Indonesian government has resumed executions at an alarming rate, going against the United Nations global moratorium on executions. Call on the Australian Government to use its strong relationship with Indonesia to encourage them to suspend all executions and take steps to abolish the death penalty altogether.
