Don't let Australian-made arms and arms parts fuel the oppression of Palestinian people.

While we welcome the long overdue ceasefire in Gaza, the genocide is ongoing. Stopping the killings and injuries is not the only aspect of ending the genocide. Palestinian people continue to struggle for dignity, equal rights and justice under Israel’s illegal military occupation and system of apartheid. Since October 7 2023, they have faced relentless bombardment, death, and destruction on an unprecedented scale. 
 
Because of Australia’s opaque approval process for arms transfers, we don’t know what arms are exported, to what country, or for what purpose. The reality is that even if Australian-made arms are not being used by Israel in Gaza, it is impossible for Australians to know. 
 
Until Israel's brutal military occupation and the apartheid regime is ended once and for all, our calls remain; for a comprehensive national arms embargo on Israel, Hamas and other armed groups, as well as transparent national control system for arms exports in Australia. 
 
Together, our voices have achieved so much—but we must keep the momentum going for justice for Palestinian people. Australia must do everything within its power to end Israel’s impunity once and for all, end the brutal military occupation and the apartheid regime.
