UPDATE 20/11/18:  3 months ago, 119 kids were still on Nauru. Today, 17 kids remain. More than 165,000 Australians have now signed this petition, either with Amnesty or as part of a coalition of like-minded organisations. We’ll be collating all of these names and presenting them to our leaders in Canberra on 27 November. There’s still time to sign – add your name today.

Right now, the Australian Government is keeping children and their families locked up on Nauru in cruel and unsafe conditions against the advice of medical experts.

Some of these children have been born in detention and all they have ever known is a life of guards, steel fences, and uncertainty.

Children grow up healthy when they are free to play, learn and feel safe with their families in the community.

The Australian Government is choosing to keep these children in unsafe conditions without access to adequate health, education or employment options.

They can choose to end the harm and bring them to Australia.

We know with enough pressure we can change this.

Will you sign the petition calling on the Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten to bring these children and their families to Australia before Universal Children’s Day on 20 November?
