We know it works when we put international pressure on authorities. It saved Mohammad Reza Haddadi who, like Hossein, was sentenced to death in Iran for a crime that took place when he was a child. His sentence was overturned on 14 February 2022 because of caring people like you ❤️

Amnesty is 100% independent. We will never accept funding from governments or political organisations. This means we're free to campaign with objectivity and impartiality. 

This comes with huge risks: offices have been closed, raided or spied on in several countries in the last years. Some of our staff have been jailed for doing their work.
